Heavy Equipment Operator:

Pay: $25.00-30.00 per hour

    Employee must have a strong working knowledge of equipment operation, safety rules and regulations, basic construction layout and specifications and environmental restrictions. Highly skilled in operations of excavators, dozers, track loaders, and various other machines. GPS on excavators and dozers. 5 years work experience preferred. Pay will be based on experience and skill.

  • Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of dirt work, including excavation, grade work, surveying and final excavating work.
  • Operate and manage GPS software and devices.
  • Working in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Needs to be flexible and decisive.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated.
  • Team player
  • May require Saturdays.
  • Will require local travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

CDL Dump Truck Driver:

 Class A or/and B 

Pay: $18.00-24.00 per hour      Preferred experience driving dump trucks. Pay based on experience. Most trucking will be in Transylvania County, NC and surrounding areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completion of daily driver logs, pre-trip inspections, and maintenance logs.
  • Operate tri-axle and quad axle dump trucks.
  • Securing and loading heavy equipment and materials.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have experience driving in mountainous terrain.
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the previous 3 years
  • Not cited for a D.O.T. defined accident in the previous 3 years
  • No serious offenses in the previous 7 years or pattern of unsafe practices
  • Subject to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Meet DOT physical requirements and have valid health card
  • Must be able to drive trucks with manual and automatic transmissions.

Laborer:

Pay: $20.00-21.00 per hour

-Full time, pay based on experience

-Driver's License

-Local travel required

-Outside in various weather conditions.

-Responsible/dependable as in being on time and completing tasks in a timely manner.

-Positive attitude and team player.

-Frequent standing/walking

-Lift/carry 50+lbs

-Basic math skills

-Cleaning up job sites.

-Digging holes, shoveling dirt/gravel, installing silt fence and matting, seeding/strawing, and other tasks at the direction grading foreman.

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Grading Forman:

Salary: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

   Employee must have a strong working knowledge of equipment operation, safety rules and regulations, construction layout and specifications and environmental restrictions. Highly skilled in operations of excavators, dozers, track loaders, and various other machines. 5 years work experience preferred. Pay will be based on experience and skill. Employee will directly supervise and coordinate activities of grading crew and may also engage in the trade work of the employees being supervised.

  • Knowledgeable in the areas of dirt work, including excavation, grade work, surveying and final excavating work.
  • Working in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Needs to be flexible and decisive.

  • Ability to work independently, within a team and lead a team.
  • May require Saturdays.
  • Will require local travel.
